  • week 1 of instruction - start with a half right intoCBL "Pedro Gomez": start a CBL, on 4: right turn for the leader instead of continuing his left turn.
  • week 2 of instruction - copa variations
  • copa variation # 1- Pedro gomez copa
  • copa variation # 2 - touch and go copa: start with double hand hold copa, as the lady goes back doing a left turn the leader will lead her into a touch and go (as the lady turns left the leader never releases the left hand and breaks contact with the right hand only)
  • copa variation # 3 - copa turn from double hand hold: start in handshake, right turn for lady, the leader asks her left hand above the right hands, copa turn with inside turn, loops over leader's head
  • copa variation # 4 - start with left hand leader in right hand lady, right turn for lady, on 4: right turn for leader (his left arm behind his back), change to handshake, copa turn
  • week 3 of instruction - Drop catch variations
  • drop catch variation # 1 - regular drop catch,
  • drop catch variation # 2 - Pedro Gomez into 1 1/2 left turn for men into a drop catch with both of the ladies hands on the mens left hand, men do a half right and then single or double turn for the ladies.
  • drop catch variation #3 - start with right hand to right hand, then men will do a half right followed by a half left.
  • week 4 of instruction - double right turns for ladies and men (from now on, you can make any right turn into a double one)
  • double right touch-and-go: start in crossed-hand hold (right on top), the leaders right hand leads the lady into a double right turn, after the first turn - as soon as his left hand touches his right wrist - he let's go of her left hand, he lets her left hand pass under his right and he grabs it again
  • week 5 of instruction will be for general review of weeks 1-4
  • week 6 of instruction - T - stance for ladies : ladies will learn how to do thier shines while the men give them gives them space and support, men will learn how to lead the ladies in and out of the T- stance.
  • week 7 of instruction - Malibu
  • week 8 of instruction - Matador
  • week 9 of instruction - CBL into Pedro Gomez into double handed drop catch, ladies do double right turn, finish turn pattern with a half right.
  • week 10 will be for general review of weeks 6-9

Partner work

  • week 1 of instruction - CBL switch hands right hand to right hand, lady does a full right turn while the man does a half left, men leads lady into a full right turn, the men then does a half right and leads lady into a basket, the lady moves behind and around the men. as she comes around and then forward the men will lead her out with his left hand and she will do a left turn.
  • week 2 of instruction - T - Stance
  • week 3 of instruction - the wind mill, ends with the Pedro Gomez copa
  • week 4 of instruction - Double touch and go, into broken left for men, into CBL then, into tunnel finishing with any of the copa variations.
  • week 5 of instruction will be for general review of weeks 1-4
  • week 6 of instruction - start with the crucifix: like a shoulder check, but starts in crossed-hand hold (left on top) and both arms are extended in the check (no check on the shoulder) then into a double waist turn.
  • week 7 of instruction - variation of shoulder checks
  • variation # 1 - regular shoulder check
  • variation # 2 - it will start like a regular shoulder check but the ladies will do a 1-1/2 turn
  • variation # 3 - turn pattern with a shoulder check - check swing
  • variation # 4 - waist turn into shoulder check
  • week 8 of instruction -the embrace step
  • week 9 of instruction - Fake turns, ( ends with a release move, then shines)
  • week 10 of instruction will be for general review of weeks 6-9
  • copa turn from double hand hold: start in handshake, right turn for lady, the leader asks her left hand above the right hands, copa turn with inside turn, loops over leader's head
  • copa turn after right turn: start with left hand leader in right hand lady, right turn for lady, on 4: right turn for leader (his left arm behind his back), change to handshake, copa turn
  • waist check: like a shoulder check, but start with right hand leader in left hand lady and his right arm is wrapped around her waist in the check
  • crucifix: like a shoulder check, but starts in crossed-hand hold (left on top) and both arms are extended in the check (no check on the shoulder)
  • drop-catch into inside left turn: like a drop-catch but after the catch the leader does not turn back to the right put pulls the lady forward under his right arm, he asks with his left hand for her left hand, releases the right hand and leads her with his left hand into a CBL with inside left turn
  • drop-catch into inside left turn and right shoulder check: like the previous one but the leader stops the lady's inside left turn in a check by holding her right shoulder with his right hand
  • drop-catch with corkscrew: like a normal drop-catch but the leader does a right corkscrew turn together with the lady's final single right turn
  • fake turn: start in crossed double hand hold (right on top), right turn for lady, on 4: leader does 1/2 left axle turn, on 6: side basic while he places her right hand on his right waist and releases it, on 8: leader does 1/2 left turn and pulls lady into 1/2 right turn, on 2: she starts turning 1.5 to the right
  • fake turn from drop-catch: start like a drop-catch, after the catch on 8: the leader turns 1/2 to the right and throws her right hand to her right which makes her turn 1/2 to the right, on 2: he catches her left hand in his left hand and reverses her turn
  • fake turn from open break: start with left hand leader in right hand lady, open break, on 8: the leader throws her right hand to her right, continue as above
  • back-spot turn: start with left hand leader in right hand lady, open break, on 8: the leader pulls the lady towards him and steps also forward himself so that they get into closed position, on 2-3-4: both partners make a clockwise turning motion around the common centre, on 6: basic step
  • back-spot turn into open break: the same as above but end in open break (and repeat the same thing)
  • back-spot turn into drop catch: start like a back-spot turn, op 4: leader does 1/2 left turn under his left and her right arm, he drops her hand and continue like any drop-catch variation

Partner work combo's

  • start with left hand leader in left hand lady, double right turn for the lady, the leader's left arm makes a loops behind his head to his right shoulder, he drops her right hand and catches it in front of him with his right hand, go to double hand hold, double right turn touch-and-go, crucifix
  • start with left hand leader in left hand lady, the leader raises his left hand to prepare the lady for a single right turn and he changes to handshake, continue the single right turn, crossed-hand hold (left on top), copa turn from double hand hold
  • waist check, end with the leader's right arm making a loops over his chest and placing her left hand in his neck, broken left turn for the leader followed by a left axle turn switching hands behind his back
  • drop-catch into inside left, on 4: the leader does 1/2 right axle turn (his left arm on his back, his right arm in closed position on her back), he leads her into a CBL with inside left, one 4: the leader does a full left axle turn under the extended left arms, he stops her inside left turn with a right shoulder check
